The Sport family is the newest addition to the Harley-Davidson® lineup and was introduced for the 2022 model year, and riders now have the option of the 2023 Harley-Davidson® Sport models at Treasure Coast Harley-Davidson®. The Sportster® S is the first motorcycle designed by Harley-Davidson® specifically as a sports bike. The Nightster™ is a more traditional take on the Sportster® but with a liquid-cooled engine and the other tech you expect on a sport bike, and the Nightster™ Special is new for 2023. It offers premium color options and adds some of the advanced features from the Sportster® S.
The Sportster® was one of the original sports bikes. It was larger and more powerful than the cruisers of its time, but with the 1980s and the rise of the modern sport bike, the perception of it changed. The Sportster® was still bigger and beefier than most cruisers but certainly wasn’t discussed in the context of sport bikes. With the Sportster® S, Harley-Davidson® set out to change that and to reimagine that Sportster® as if it were first developed today with all of the advanced technologies available. The Sportster® S has the Revolution® Max 1250T engine, advanced electronic assists, and selectable ride modes.
The goal with the Nightster™ was to deliver a modern take on the Sportster® that remained truer to the original design. It has a classic silhouette. It’s smaller and therefore lighter and nimbler as well. It also provides a more stripped-down experience than the Sportster® S, and if you prefer a more loaded experience but the classic look and feel, that’s where the new Nightster™ Special model comes into play. It has the same Revolution® Max 975T powertrain but upgrades the analogy display to an LCD screen and features the programmed and custom ride modes.
